The Council Home Daycare Shifts and Programs
We offer two convenient shifts to cater to your scheduling needs:
- Morning Shift: 5:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Evening Shift: 3:00 pm to 12:00 am
Infant
0-12 months old
(Teacher child ratio 1:5)
Learning through play is at the heart of our approach. Our dedicated teachers engage infants in various enjoyable activities, including music, exercise, outdoor blanket time, and affectionate interactions such as facial and verbal mimicking, hugs, and tickles. Our focus extends to enhancing fine motor, gross motor, social, and emotional skills.
With a commitment to meeting every child’s needs, we ensure the provision of proper care, attending to every aspect of their well-being. Building strong, loving bonds is a priority for us, as we strive to create an environment where your child feels safe and cherished throughout their time here.
Toddler 1
12-24 months old
(Teacher child ratio 1:6)
A stimulating environment filled with music, stories, outdoor play, and age-appropriate learning activities defines our approach.
Parents receive daily reports detailing mealtimes, nap schedules, toilet training progress, and daily accomplishments. Our teachers focus on promoting growth and independence
through a blend of small and large group activities targeting fine motor, sensory, and gross motor skills. The Highscope curriculum guides our play-based learning, ensuring every activity serves a purpose in achieving and advancing developmental milestones.
Toddler 2
2 to 3 years old

Our dedicated teachers offer a variety of activities aimed at fostering your child’s overall development, focusing on sensory, fine and gross motor skills, language acquisition, social interaction, emotional well-being, independence, and key life skills. Following the Highscope curriculum, we incorporate problem-solving, team-building, and self-control exercises into
our engaging lessons.Additionally, our classroom is equipped with a bathroom to cater to curious toddlers who are ready to explore the world of potty training!
Preschoolers
3 to 4 years old
(Teacher child ratio 1:15)
Guiding your child’s learning journey through a combination of play in various learning centers and engaging large and small group activities aligned with our Highscope curriculum. Your child will actively participate in “work time” planning, learning the importance of following through on their plans, and recalling the materials and experiences involved.
During the 60-minute work time period, children have the freedom to explore different learning areas, fostering problem-solving skills and encouraging them to devise solutions for challenges that may arise. Through these experiences, your children will develop into critical thinkers, equipped with skills that will stay with them as they continue to learn and grow.
Pre-Kindergarten
4 to 5 years old
(Teacher child ratio 1:20)
Children are immersed in interactive learning experiences in preparation for kindergarten. The emphasis is on active participatory learning, meaningful adult-child interactions, and the plan-do-review process.
Children will hone independent skills, critical thinking abilities, and fine motor skills.
The curriculum includes learning activities focusing on handwriting, phonics awareness, foundational math concepts, name writing, and recognition of letters and numbers, all designed to ready them for the upcoming elementary school years. Additionally, children will gain knowledge about healthy eating habits and participate in family-style dining, learning to serve themselves appropriate portion sizes.
School Age
5 years old and above

Through active participatory learning and adult-child interactions, children will embark on hands-on experiences using the plan-do-review process.
The program focuses on honing independent skills, fostering critical thinking, and developing fine motor abilities.
Children will delve into handwriting skills, phonics awareness, foundational math concepts, and name/letter/number recognition, laying a solid foundation for their elementary school years. Additionally, they will learn about healthy eating habits and participate in family-style dining, gaining the valuable skill of serving themselves appropriate portion sizes. Join us in this enriching school-age program where learning is dynamic, interactive, and geared towards holistic development.
